Strides 4 Sight is reaching out to the community to participate in a fun and healthy event! Bring the whole family, and help support this meaningful mission of changing lives – one eye at a time.
Strides 4 Sight and our charity outreach program, The Vision Project, rely heavily on volunteers, increasing knowledge, and goodwill to finance their mission.

Timed 5K Walk/Run
- $25 Pre-registered on or by Sept. 25th, 2017
- $30 if registering on or after Sept. 26th, 2017
Kids Fun Run (Obstacle Course)
- $10, ages 2-11
Race Check-In opens at 8:00 am
Kids Fun Run takes place at 8:30 am
5K Walk/Run begins at 9:00 am
Registration packet with race bib and timing chip can be picked up the morning of the race beginning at 8:00 am at the registration table at Como Lake.
Awards: Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers for the 5K Run. Kids Fun Run participants will receive ribbons.
Amenities: Custom designed t-shirts guaranteed to pre-registrants; post registrants while supplies last, computerized chip scoring, water stops, restroom facilities and post race snacks are also included.
Race Results: Following the race, you can find the 5k results at http://www.gopherstateevents.com/. Click on “Open Results”, then “Road Race” and you’ll find “Strides 4 Sight” under “Event”.

Como Lake can most easily be approached on Lexington Ave. about half way between I94 and Hwy 36, which both have Lexington Ave. exits. Guests can also park in Bandana Square, a few blocks away.
From Minneapolis: go East on either I94 or North on 35E to Hwy 36 East.
From St. Paul: go West on I94 or North on 35E to Hwy 36 West.
From I94: Drive North on Lexington Ave; from Hwy 36, drive south on Lexington Ave.
